Way back when

There was a time when candles weren't everywhere. 

Before kits.  Before the tutorials.  Before it became something you could learn in a weekend on TikTok.  But my candle journey started in 2012.  Back when information was scarce. When getting it right meant trial, error, and starting over again and again.


There were no shortcuts.  So I didn't build this brand with any either.

Today, candles are more accessible than ever. Premade blends. Quick formulas.
Faster paths to market. And there's nothing wrong with that.
But Forte was never built to be fast.  It was built to be right.

Every candle begins with composition– a balance of wax, fragrance, burn, and atmosphere working together as one.

Wax is never just wax.  It shifts, it responds, it holds or releases  scent depending on how it's built.  Too soft, and the burn becomes unstable.  Too hard, and the fragrance never fully opens.  The right blend isn't obvious. It's learned through testing, adjusting and understanding how each element behaves over time.

That's why we didn't use a premade base.  We built our own.
Our proprietary blend took over 7 months to develop.  Not to complicate the process– but to refine it. To create something that burns cleaner. Throws stronger.  Feels more considered.

Because a candle isn't just a product. It's how a room shifts, how the space holds you. How something as simple as light and scent creates an ambiance and experience. And it doesn't happen by accident.

It happens through time, intention and choosing not to rush what's meant to last.
